On Mar 7, 2:16pm, you proclaimed: } As for multimedia discogs, great idea, it would be really cool to have } pics of the covers with an entry, I've thought about this, but it would be } a full time job, more or less, for any one who took it on. And think of } the file size!! Like I said, I'd be willing to do the multimedia document creation (in HTML - it's what I do for WIRED now anyways :) if someone else (or more than one) is willing to scan in the covers and digitize the sound, both of which aren't as easy for me to do as they are for some of you. Tell you what - anyone out there with a sound board and/or a scanner, with access to Rephlex stuff, send me or Fluid mail, and maybe we can coordinate this so that no person is stuck doing everything. I also heard you just got a multimedia PC, Ben :) As far as file size - like most documents involving images and pictures on the WWW, 2400 baud is gonna be too slow for most purposes. Each cover scan will probably be about 7K, and 15 seconds of 8bit 8khz Ulaw sound takes 125K.... If the Rephlex one goes well I'd be willing to do this for other discog's, too. I'm not really worried about the legality of this, since we're not charging for this or tying it into any sort of income generation, and because once the companies realize this is essentially free advertising I think they'll think twice :) Brian
